Sometimes you might find that during holidays you tend to have a lot of people in your home most especially your family members. Nevertheless, I always have a disturbing thought at the back of my mind. Long time ago when my children were younger keeping them happy and entertained was such a simple task but when they get older it tends to be really difficult for someone. Sometimes we would draw and paint together which was really fun. If they needed to switch things up I would buy a Disney movie or purchase for them Nickis Gucci. When they are in their youth stage it tend to be really hard for a parent most especially when it comes to choosing things you can do together with them and they actually become interested participating in it. You will find that they no longer want to participate in art and craft as they feel that they are so grown up. I have come up with fresh ideas to remain the coolest aunt in their eyes. Below are some of the tips I use to stay cool.
It can be really fun if you create competitive games for all of you to participate in. Teenagers are very easily bored but it is part of humanity to want to win. Always ensure that the activities that you want them to participate in have a little bit of competition. Always make sure that you have ways that you can be able to figure out who became the winner. There many activities that you can do such as who can cook the best food or who won the most in the games that you played or maybe who can skip better. It can be really fun most especially if you give the winner a present like a gift from Nickis as the other kids will want to always spend time with you and engage in the activities even more.
When I was a kid I could not wait for the family projects. Ensure that the activities or games that you choose anyone and everyone can participate in. You can come up with simple things like decorating a piece of photo frame, fixing up the garden area or painting a specific area of the home. Give everyone an opportunity to come up with their original thought in the project. Participating in projects that the children will remember is important as they will have fun and it will be a lifetime mark on them.
When people eat together or even prepare a meal together you will find that they will have a bond. Teenagers love food just like kids and they will be very excited about the idea. It can be a very good idea if you involve them in activities that involves food. You can always smash potatoes and then throw the mashed potatoes on each other and you will see how it will light the room up. You can also time each other on who can use the fork and knife the longest when they are eating candies.
